General
The Trainers page allows for management of the Trainer accounts with the Virtual Classroom system. The main table shows all Trainers within the system.
The list can be filtered and sorted
Add Trainer
To add a new Trainer, click the Add Trainer button
Fill out a Name and an email address.
See Roles and Markets below for the remainder of the details.
Info |

Note that Trainer logins are completely independent of Student logins. A Trainer's email address can also be used for a Student account, but the management of them remains completely independent. For example, they each have their own passwords. Students log into https://student.virtualclassroom.disti.com/ and Trainers log into https://instructor.virtualclassroom.disti.com/. |
Edit Trainer
To Edit an existing trainer, on the relevant row, click the action button and choose Edit.
Make whatever changes are necessary, and click Confirm.
Note that the email address cannot be changed. If a different email address is necessary, create a new Trainer, and delete the unneeded account.
Some Roles have the ability to modify their own account permissions. A warning will be displayed because it is possible to remove permissions such that they can no longer access their own account settings.
Roles and Markets
Each Trainer is assigned a combination of available roles
Each Role is independent. For example, having a "Super Admin" role doesn't include the abilities of all the other roles. As an example, a Trainer with the "Class Admin" role is not able to text-chat with students unless they also have the Facilitator role.
The details of what actions each role allows are summarized here:

When a Trainer does not have the permissions to perform certain actions, they will be blocked from doing so in various ways. The most common are that they will not see the relevant buttons, or buttons will be greyed out.
For example, a Trainer with only the Facilitator role will see this top-level menu
while a Trainer with only the "Class Admin" role will see this:
And if a Facilitator-only Trainer attempts to edit a Student, they will see the details, but be unable to edit them.
Markets
Only the "Super Admin" role has the action "No Market Restrictions". This means that all other roles can only act on Markets to which they have been assigned. "Super Admin" and "Market Admin" roles can assign Trainers to Markets. "Market Admins" can only assign Trainers to Markets they have been assigned.
