The Classes page shows all of the created classes across all regions and all dates.
Sorting is available for most columns, and searching is available for Description
Name, Market and Region.
Note that the Start Date and End Date will glow green for classes which are within the date range.
Creating
Addinga Class
To add create a class, click the Add Create Class button:
Enter a description name for the class. This It is not required to be unique, but it is best to keep it descriptive.
The class will be appear in the list
Choose the Market that this class is associated with from the dropdown.
When the Market is chosen, the Region will be automatically populated, but can be overridden if necessary.
When all the settings are complete, click Confirm to save it.
See below for all of the individual settings.

Selecting the Region
The region is where the streaming sessions will be physically hosted for this class. Ideally choose a region that is a good match for all of the students to reduce lag and quality issues. It may make sense to have multiple versions of the same class, each in their own region.
The region currently defaults to Europe. Change it here:
Editing a Class
On the row with the class of interest, click the button and choose Edit Class
Setting the Dates
The Date range defaults to the current week. To change it click on the row and a date range selector will appear.
Choose two dates to make up the range or choose from the preset options on the right.
Setting the Dates
Set the start and end dates of the class by clicking on each one and selecting a date.
If the end date is set earlier than the start date, the end date will show red until it is fixed.
Setting start and end dates the same is valid as it refers to the start and end of the same day.
Setting the Times
The Daily Start Time and Daily End Time refer to the daily times for the class.
Click on each to set the time.
First, set the hour by dragging or clicking:
Then it will switch to minute mode. Select the minutes:
Now the time is set. Make sure to set it for both the start and end.
time of day for each day through the length of the class which training is allowed.
By default the values are equal, which results in no restriction on the time of day.
To change the time, click on one and a time selector will appear.
The first click chooses the hour and send chooses the minute.
Selecting the Region
The region is where the streaming sessions will be physically hosted for this class. The default value of the Market is generally good, however, if a class will be physically hosted outside of its normal location, it may be benificial to choose a different region.
Ideally choose a region that is a good match for all of the students to reduce lag and quality issues.
Selecting Students
To add students to the class, click the Selected Students buttonrow:

This will allow for selecting specific students to be part of the class:
Select all the students to be part of the class.
Sorting and filtering is available.
By default the list is sorted by the "In Class" field. So as students are selected they are moved to the top of the list.
Click Apply when finished. Students can be added at any time.
If a new student needs to be added to the system, they can be added here using the Add New Student button.
This is the same functionality as available on the Students Page, but they will automatically be added to the class.
Click Apply when finished.

Use Webcam
The class webcam setting is controlled here.
When checked, when a student joins the class their computers webcam will be activated.
The webcam image is available on the Facilitator Dashboard.
Selecting Content
Click the Content row to The content available to the class is selected from here:
This will show the list of all content available on the system.
Select content for the class.
Click away from the popup when finished

This list will grow and change as DiSTI delivers content and makes it available on the system. The number in brackets is a reference into DiSTI's content system and can generally be ignored by the user of this system. |
The names of the selected content will show in the table:
Clicking on a content item shows adds it to the list.
You can add more than one item to the list.
Deleting a Class
To delete a class, click the trash icon and choose Delete Class:
A confirmation dialog will appear.
Deleting a class does not delete students, just the class.
Facilitate Class
If a class is active (within the start and end dates), the action icon includes an option to Facilitate Class.
When clicked, the system will navigate to the Facilitate Dashboard page with this class selected.
